We built Roost to help renters make financial progress and properties reduce their compliance risk.

Security

We use 128-bit or higher encryption to protect during the transmission of data to our site and encrypt data at rest. If we suspect any suspicious activity on your account then we’ll alert you as soon as possible.


Incident response

We have a dedicated security team that investigates and responds to issues as quickly as possible.


External security assessments

We work with independent third-parties who regularly assess our site for vulnerabilities.


External auditing

Roost reviews its in compliance with SOC 2 Type 2 and is pending certification. All team members adhere to the company’s security policy and code of conduct.


Regulation

Roost undergoes reviews and is in compliance with credit bureau, third party auditors and our systems are designed to comply with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. In addition, Roost secures necessary licensing and security bonds by state.


Banking

Roost partners with FDIC-insured banks, Chase Bank and Evolve Bank & Trust.
